National Nutrition Council Executive Director, Azucena M. Dayanghirang, awarded seven District/City Nutrition Program Coordinators (D/CNPCs) from MIMAROPA Region during the 7^th National Conference of District/City Nutrition Program Coordinators. The awarding ceremony was held in Baguio Country Club last 13-14 August 2019.

The awardees and their years of service are:

Plaques of recognition were given to the long serving D/CNPCs to acknowledge their dedication, hard work and commitment in disseminating nutrition programs and policies in their respective districts/cities.

The conference was conducted by the National Nutrition Council in partnership with District/City Nutrition Program Coordinators’ Association of the Philippines (D/CNPCAP) to achieve the following 1) update district/city/municipal nutrition program coordinators (D/C/MNPCs) on the Philippine Plan of Action for Nutrition (PPAN) 2017-2022 and other policies and programs as basis for developing and coordinating local nutrition plans of action; 2) enhance the skills of participants on self-development techniques related to improving their performance as D/C/MNPCs; 3) provide a venue for the conduct of D/CNPCAP general assembly to discuss various concerns of the association; and 4) build and strengthen camaraderie among the delegates through participation in fellowship opportunities. -BVLMEstrella
