20 September 2019 - MiMaRoPa Regional Technical Assistance Monitoring and Evaluation (TAME) team for the Early Child Care and Development in the First 1,000 Days (ECCD-F1K) of Life Program was formed during its organization meeting at Microtel Hotel Acropolis, Quezon City.The meeting was attended by members of Regional Technical Working Group (RTWG) for Nutrition which comprised of Department of Health, Department of Agriculture, Department of Social Welfare and Development, Department of Trade and Industry, Department of Agrarian Reform, National Commission of Indigenous People, Rural Improvement Club and Technical Skill and Development Authority. The RTWG or nutrition will serve as members of TAME.

The meeting included an orientation of the ECCD-F1K Program in occidental Mindoro, status of ECCD-F1K activities conducted and mechanics as well as roles and responsibilities of RTWG members in the conduct of TAME.
Through the meeting, the TAME team requested to be trained in the ECCD-F1K Phase 2 to better grasp the ECCD-F1K activities conducted in which they can use their technical expertise. In addition, Mr. Eddelito Sumangil of NCIP and Mr. Mark Angelo Lorenzo of DSWD suggested to include their regional personnel in ECCD-F1K Trainings.
Technical Assistance Monitoring and Evaluation is one of the program components of ECCD-F1K in which TAME teams from National, Region, Province and City/ Municipality conducts monitoring visits. The monitoring visit involves observation on how the barangay-based workers are doing counselling, mother’s classes, recipe trials, and monitoring of growth and developmental milestones to ensure that targets are being achieved, as well as to provide technical assistance to the local community workers.
