MIMAROPA Regional Nutrition Evaluation Team finalized the results of Monitoring and Evaluation of Local Level Plan Implementation (MELLPI) Pro for Local Government Units through the deliberation meeting conducted last 4 November 2022 held via Zoom.

The deliberation was attended by eleven (11) RNET members from DA, DAR, DBM, DILG, DOH, DOST, NFA, NCIP, POPCOM. NPC Blanco, in her welcoming message, extended her gratitude to the RNET members who joined NNC MIMAROPA in the series of evaluation to local nutrition focal points and local government units across the region.

Findings from the evaluation of Marinduque, Romblon, Palawan, Calapan City, and Puerto Princesa City were discussed by NO III Keren Gaya, DMO II Bianca Estrella, and PEO I Lorelie MIllares including the total score computation and the criteria to qualify for Green Banner Seal of Compliance Award.

The LGUs who garnered an overall score of at least 85% with no rating of below 60% in the six (6) dimensions of MELLPI Pro – Vision and Mission, Nutrition Policies and Laws, Governance, Local Nutrition Committee Management, Nutrition Services and Changes in Nutritional Status, will be conferred with the award.

MELLPI Pro is an annual activity of NNC designed to monitor and evaluate the performance of local government units (LGUs) in promoting nutrition security vis-à-vis nutrition outcomes. Apart from recognition of LGUs on their nutrition program implementation, its results aim to guide policy and decision-makers to enhance nutrition products, services, and delivery systems.
