The Nutriskwela Community Radio Network is a strategy of the National Nutrition Council to address hunger and malnutrition using radio as channel of communication in areas with high prevalence of malnutrition. Nutriskwela community radio station is facilitated through a Memorandum of Agreement between NNC and the identified local government unit or state university or college.
There are four (4) Nutriskwela Community Radio stations in MIMAROPA namely, Radyo Kaunlaran in Bansud, Oriental Mindoro, Radyo Kamalindig in Buenavista, Marinduque, Radyo Kasimanwa in Coron, Palawan, and Radyo Kapalayawan in Paluan, Occidental Mindoro.
NNC supports the abovementioned Nutriskwela radio stations through the provision of radio equipment, training, technical assistance, regular monitoring and as holder of the license to operate from the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC).
