NNC MIMAROPA is all set for 2023 as it conducted its first staff meeting yesterday, 12 January 2023. The meeting started with a prayer led by DMO II (PNFP) Torres and was presided by NPC Blanco and attended by its 8 staff.

NO III Gaya gave a recap of the activities and accomplishments per region’s 2022 Work and Financial Plan. Almost all the activities and targets were met as planned. Furthermore, each staff provided updates per program assigned and identified other remaining tasks to accomplish.

NO III Gaya then discussed the Proposed 2023 Work and Financial Plan which includes meetings, monitoring and evaluation activities, technical assistance to local government units, and advocacy sessions, among others. She also highlighted the major activities to be conducted such as the Monitoring and Evaluation of Local Level Plan Implementation (MELLPI) Pro for 2023, Nutrition Shepherding Project, LHEARN Project, 2023 Nutrition Month, regular NNC-led meetings with members from the Regional Nutrition Committee (RNC) and Regional Technical Working Group (RTWG) and other interagency meetings to be attended as invited.

AA I Dalisay also provided updates on the 2022 fund utilizations and liquidations while NPC Blanco shared some feedback from the 4th Quarter Management Conference. Other matters such as updates regarding the Regional Bantay Asin Task Force, Tutok Kainan Dietary Supplementation Program in Occidental Mindoro, and the schedule of the first RNC meeting were also discussed.

NNC MIMAROPA shall continue conducting promotional activities to further improve the nutrition situation in MIMAROPA Region. Let’s go Team MIMAROPA!
