January 29, 2019, Sibagat, Agusan del Sur- NNC Caraga, joined the celebration of DXCN FM 107.3 MHz – Radyo Kaagapay’s 9th Founding Anniversary, held at the Municipal Hall of Sibagat. The Nutriskwela Community Radio Network Program is a project of the National Nutrition Council to address the problem of hunger and malnutrition in the Philippines through the use of radio, the most available form of mass media.The celebration started with a motorcade around the municipality, participated by the members of the LGU, Sibagat Local Nutrition Committee, Senior Citizens and the general public. The Chairman of the Community Radio Council, Ms. Leah Lagat gave the welcome address. NNC Caraga’s Nutrition Officer II Ivy Sheryl Sablas gave her message of gratitude to the LGU of Sibagat and the Community Radio Council for their continuous support and effort in giving information to the public about health, nutrition and the overall progress of Sibagat. In behalf of MNAO Evelyn Mondia, Nutrition Staff Rovelyn Montino reported the Nutritional Status of the municipality. Sibagat Mayor, Hon. Maria Liza L. Evangelista and SB Member Mr. Felipe Mabasle also gave an inspirational message to the participants of the event.
One way of showing their appreciation to their avid listeners, Radyo Kaagapay and LGU Sibagat, raffled out soaps, AC/DC Radios and umbrellas to the lucky participants of their LGU, Senior Citizens and general public. Radyo Kaagapay’s Station Manager, Ms. Elizabeth M. Badajos, gave the closing remarks, thanking all of the participants for joining the celebration.
