RNAC 2021 Green BannerButuan City- In the recently concluded Regional Nutrition Awarding Ceremony, three (3) local government units are recipients for the Green Banner Seal of Compliance on 20 December 2021 at LJ Mega Convention Hall, Butuan City.

Recognized on stage as the recipients of the Green Banner Seal of Compliance are the City of Tandag, Surigao del Sur, the Municipalities of Nasipit and Santiago both in Agusan del Norte.

The Green Banner Seal of Compliance replaces the Green Banner where only the local government unit with the highest score in each administrative level can qualify. The award is conferred to a LGU with an average rating not lower than 60% per dimension and an overall rating of at least 85%.

Using the Monitoring and Evaluation of Local Level Plan Implementation Protocol (MELLPI) Pro, the evaluators scored on the following dimensions: (1) vision and mission; (2) nutrition laws and policies; (3) governance and organization structure; (4) local nutrition committee management functions; (5) nutrition interventions and services; and (6) nutritional status.

The LGU-recipients of the Green Banner Seal of Compliance for three consecutive years whose rating is at least 90% on the third year shall be recommended for validation of the Regional Nutrition Evaluation Team and if qualified shall be conferred as Consistent Regional Outstanding Winner in Nutrition (CROWN).

Present during the awarding ceremonies are representatives of Local Chief Executives (LCEs), Regional Nutrition Committee (RNC) and Technical Working Groups members, Regional Nutrition Evaluation Team (RNET) members, Provincial/City/Municipal Nutrition Action Officers (P/C/MNAOs), District/City Nutrition Program Coordinators (D/CNPC) Barangay Nutrition Scholars (BNSs), various nutrition stakeholders and partners, and the awardees. #MPRayco/NASLabordo
