Cebu City – Besides the celebration of the Broadcasters’ Month this September, NNC 7’s has a double celebration as it commemorates the 7th anniversary of its radio program “Aksyon Para sa Nutrisyon”.
Aksyon Para sa Nutrisyon is a thirty-minute magazine-type radio program that came up through the efforts of the region’s media group, the Media Information Network for Nutrition and Development (MIND7).
The program had its maiden broadcast on 13 September 2014, with NNC 7 Regional Nutrition Program Coordinator Dr. Parolita A. Mission and DYLA’s former Station Manager and MIND 7’s charter President Mr. Jun P. Tagalog hosting the show with the topic on obesity, September being National Obesity Awareness Month.
The said program aims to inform its listeners on the key messages of proper nutrition and healthy lifestyle through various weekly topics discussed. It is divided into three parts which include featured easy-to-prepare and nutritious recipes, technical discussions, and regional and local nutrition updates.
For the past seven (7) years, the program has consistently advocated for nutrition through its wide array of topics presented on air. From the common health and nutrition illnesses to fad diets and nutrition during the pandemic.
This year, the program focuses its discussions on the First 1000 Days to help change the knowledge, attitudes, and practices of families, caregivers, and soon-to-be parents and contribute to the region’s stunting reduction efforts.
Aksyon para sa Nutrisyon will be heard every Saturdays at 12:30 to 01:00 PM via DYLA Cebu 909 kHz with delayed broadcast over NNC 7’s Internet Radio and YouTube Account. // NO II Norre Jean V. delos Santos
