eccd reporting systemCATARMAN, Northern Samar - World Vision in partnership with UNICEF and National Nutrition Council VIII is conducting a 2-day activity on Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD)- F1KDReporting SystemTraining of Trainers from November 18-19, 2021 at Lemongrass Restobar here.

The overall goal of the ECCD-F1KD Program is to ensure the full development of the child through integrated services of health, nutrition, early education, and social services for improved quality of the country’s human resource base as a contribution to reducing poverty.

The activity was funded by KOICA in close coordination with UNICEF, NCP, NNC and DOH and other partners.

The ECCD-F1KD Reporting system has 8 modules that will guide staff and users to process real-time accomplishments on the ECCD F1K Program and to harmonize relevant programs. This intervention is to perform NNC’s mandate as agency focal point for the multi-agency ECCD F1K and the National Nutrition Information System pursuant to Section 6, Republic Act 11037,otherwise known as the Masustansyang Pagkain Para sa Batang Pilipino Act.

After discussion and presentations of modules, participants were able to do a hands-on training using both offline encoding andonline reporting strategy thus; the system is also a no internet connection user-friendlythat allows Barangay staff or Barangay Nutrition Scholars to access andindicate individual pregnant women,lactating mothers and children 0-23 months in the reporting system thru offlineforms.

The Provincial/Municipal Health Officer, Public Health Nurse, and Nutrition Action officers are expected to roll out this Reporting System to their respective LGUs down to thebarangay level within the last quarter of 2021 up to the early quarter of 2022.

Speakers of the activity were UNICEF Health and Nutrition Liaison-Province of Samar, Samar Provincial NutritionOffice-Nutrition Officer, Samar Provincial Planning Development Office-PlanningOfficer II, and IT officer, and NNC VIII-Provincial Nutrition Focal Point.

A total of 25 participants came from Northern Samar Provincial Health Office, Provincial Nutrition Action Office, Public Health Nurse, and Municipal Nutrition Action Officers of LGUs of Bobon, Mondragon, San Jose, Mapanas, Gamay, Lope De Vega, and Catarman. #PNFPROB
