PALO, Leyte – The municipality of Dulag in Leyte has established its own nutrition office, Ace Cagara Sadiua Nutrition Officer I, informed Dr. Catalino P. Dotollo, Jr., the Regional Nutrition Program Coordinator.

Prior to the establishment of the office, the municipality created a permanent plantilla position of Nutrition Officer I. Sadiua was appointed to the position to assist the permanent designated MNAO in the technical aspects of nutrition program implementation.

Last year, Sadiua actively coordinated with the MNAO, NNC 8 and Leyte Provincial Nutrition Office in the conduct of various capability building activities such as Basic Training Course for Barangay Nutrition Scholars and the conduct of Barangay Nutrition Action Plan 2023-2025 Formulation workshop.

To date Dulag, Leyte boosts to have one of the lowest malnutrition rate not only in the province but of the entire region.

With the establishment of the office and the appointment of Nutrition Officer 1, surely Dulag, Leyte will contribute to the reduction of stunting and wasting in the province of Leyte and of the entire region. #RNPC-CPD
